What Is Kei Nishikori Net Worth In 2022?

Kei Nishikori’s net worth in 2022 is estimated to be $46 million.

Kei Nishikori earned $33 million only in the 12 months between June 2017 and June 2018. More than 90% of that amount came from endorsements.

In 2015, Kei Nishikori signed a lifetime contract with Wilson. The financial details of the arrangement were kept under wraps, but we can imagine Wilson paying top dollar to the Japanese sensation to represent the brand.

Japanese sportswear brand Uniqlo offered a five-year extension deal to Nishikori in 2016. Again, the parties did not disclose the official numbers, but reports suggest Nishikori has banked $10 million per year under the new deal. Kei Nishikori has also been the face of Japan’s national carrier, Japan Airlines, since 2015. After the initial deal expired in 2020, Nishikori inked a new deal with Japan Airlines in 2020 under improved terms. Mai Yamauchi used to be a model before tying the knot with Kei Nishikori on December 11, 2020. However, Yamauchi refused to bid goodbye to her profession for good. She insisted on being on a career hiatus and wished to return in front of the camera under the right circumstances.

Kei and Mai met in 2015, right after the tennis star ended his relationship with rhythm gymnast Honami Tsuboi. After dating for nearly half a decade, the couple got married in an intimate ceremony attended by relatives and close friends.

Even though Mai Yamauchi is a model, she does not like sharing her life on social media. Surprisingly, she does not have an Instagram profile. Mai is also absent from Twitter and Facebook. Mai Yamauchi personally has a net worth of $1 million.

Mai Yamauchi used the aliases Mai Tachibana and Ako Mizuki as her stage names during her modeling career. Her modeling resume includes the Kobe collection and the Tokyo collection.

Family Life

Kei Nishikori was born to Kiyoshi Nishikori and Eri Nishikori on December 29, 1989. Kiyoshi was an engineer, and Eri used to teach piano in a music school. In 2021, Kei Nishikori welcomed his first child with his wife, Mai Yamauchi. He announced the great news on Twitter months before the arrival of his newborn.

Kei Nishikori Career

Kei Nishikori walked into the limelight in 2008 when he became the first Japanese tennis player to win an ATP event at the age of 16. Upset victories against favorites Sam Querrey in the semifinal and James Blake in the final brought Nishikori the Delray Beach tournament title.

The same year, Nishikori played World #2 Rafael Nadal in the Queen’s Club Championships. The Spaniard picked up an expected victory, but he had to work more than two hours to get it. Nishikori would also make his first Grand Slam appearance that year. However, he had to leave the court prematurely in the first round of Wimbledon when he sustained an abdominal muscle injury.

Injuries threatened to cast a shadow over Kei Nishikori’s career as he missed the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open in 2009. But he would return to regular tennis action in the following year.

In 2011, Nishikori beat Novak Djokovic, who was at the top of the global rankings at that time, to set up a Swiss Indoors Basel tournament final meeting with another heavyweight, Roger Federer. Nishikori put on a valiant display in the final, but that was not enough to overcome the Swiss legend in his own backyard.

In the following year, Kei Nishikori became the first tennis player to represent Japan in the quarterfinal of the Australian Open since Jiro Sato and Ryosuke Nunoi, who featured in the 1932 Australian Championship.

He reached the US Open final in 2014 and climbed to the fourth position in the rankings in 2015. He would add an Olympic bronze medal to his cabinet in the 2016 Rio Olympics, defeating Rafael Nadal in the third-place deciding match. He has also won 12 ATP single titles.

Kei Nishikori House

Kei Nishikori is the national hero of Japan, but he has put down roots in Florida. The Japanese tennis ace has been living in the Sunshine State since he was 14. He initially moved to the states for better training facilities and has settled there since.

Kei Nishikori bought a 3000 square feet mansion in Bradenton, Florida in 2013 for $850,000. He now stays there with his family.

Kei Nishikori is the brand ambassador of Jaguar, and he even has his edition of Jaguar car. The Jaguar F-Type Kei Nishikori Edition convertible and coupe series is a special edition of the iconic Jaguar F-type sports car line. Kei Nishikori has both versions in his garage. Kei loves driving Jaguars, and he has many other Jaguar models in his collection.

Final Words

Kei Nishikori has suffered a slump in recent years because of repeated injuries, but his popularity shows no sign of waning in the tennis world. Kei Nishikori’s net worth in 2022 is an enviable figure that many promising tennis stars would hope to achieve in the future.
